NanoInfusion Contraindications And Post Care

Before booking a treatment, please review the list of contraindications to ensure the treatment is suitable for you.

NanoInfusion Pre Care

  • Do not use topical agents that may increase the sensitivity of your skin such as retinoids, exfoliants, topical antibiotics, or, hydroxy acids 5-7 days prior to the service.

  • Wait 14 days after administration of neurotoxin injectables (i.e., Botox).

  •  Isotretinoin should be stopped for 6 months prior to service and any other medications that would affect the characteristics of the skin should be stopped for 2 months prior to service. Unless advised to increase the time by physician.

  • Wait 14 days after administration of fillers.

  • If using retinol omit use 3-5 days prior to service.

  • Avoid alcohol and caffeine 1-2 days prior to service.

  • You may experience inflammation, itching, and burning.

  •  Professional resurfacing, dermaplaning or chemical peel within the last 14-28 days

  • Facial waxing within 72 hours

  •  Avoid IPL/Laser procedures for at least 2 weeks prior to the service.

  •  No waxing, depilatory creams, or electrolysis to the area being treated for 5 days prior.

  • Avoid unprotected sun exposure or sunburn at least one week before service.

  • Do not shave the face the day of the procedure to avoid skin irritation.

  • Keep makeup to a minimum day of the service if possible and do not experiment with new products before the service.

  • Avoid alcohol and caffeine 24-48 hours before the service.

Absolute Contraindications (Treatment will be refused)

  • Cancer

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Any contagious or transmittable diseases

  • Haemophilia or other bleeding disorders

  • Medications such as those for blood disorders and steroids

  • Prescription retinoids such as isotretinoin

  • Allergy to stainless steel or silicone*

Relative Contraindications (Specific areas contraindicated will be avoided)

  • Health or medical concerns that require medical approval

  • Professional resurfacing, dermaplaning, or chemical peel within the last 14-28 days

  • Dermal filler administration within 14 days

  • Neuromodulator (Botox) administration within 14 days

  • Facial waxing within 72 hours

  • Retinol use within 24 hours

Local Contraindications (Specific areas contraindicated will be avoided)

  • Active acne

  • Raised moles, warts, skin lesions, and scarring

  • Open cuts, wounds, and abrasions

Pro Nanoinfusion post care recommendations

Nanoinfusion accelerate resurfacing, so It's important to know what to expect and how to treat your skin at home after your treatment. To get the most out of your treatment and support proper healing, it’s crucial to follow the recommended aftercare guidelines. By doing so, you’ll help your skin recover more efficiently and maximize the results.

  • Do not apply makeup immediately after treatment.

  • Use Only a gentle/ mild cleanser on your face

  • Use a gentle yet hydrating moisturise on your face for at least 7 days post treatment

  • Continue to wear SPF30+ daily (SPF factor 50 if you have this) Regular daily application.

  • Avoid excessive sun exposure

  • Avoid excessive heat treatments sauna/steam rooms for a minium of 3 days post treatment

  • Gently cleanse your face before bedtime the day of your treatment with a gentle cleanser and tepid water.

  • Avoid immediately using any active sin care (including AHA/BHA’s, exfoliants, Vitamin A, Retinol, etc) for at least 3-5 days.

  • Avoid sweaty exercise, saunas, and swimming for at least 48 hours after treatment.

  • Do Not pick at the skin and refrain from touching your skin

Immediate Aftercare (First 24 Hours)

  • Hydration: Apply moisturiser on the skin, as hyaluronic acid and aloe vera are anti-inflammatory and soothing in nature. They help in quick healing. Apply several times during the day to keep it hydrated. If the Skin feels warm, you can apply a cold compress to the area. It is important not use any products that

  • Sun Protection: Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen SPF 30 or higher daily.

  • Avoid Heat and Sweat: Avoid sauna, steam, and hot tub baths and intensive exercises with much sweating, that may further irritate it. No Exfoliation: For at least 3-5 days after the treatment, do not use any exfoliating products or other treatments containing AHA/BHA, retinol, or ‘Vitamin A’, since these can further irritate your skin.

Post-Treatment Expectations After Nano Infusion

After your nano infusion facial everyone's skin tolerance and skin experience will be different, it’s completely normal to experience:

Mild redness or a pinkish This should settle within 5 days post treatment
A feeling of tightness, similar to a mild sunburn/windburn Your skin is renewing itself and part of the cell turn over process that is prompted by the procedure
Dryness or light flaking, This is part of the natural cell turnover process.

You may also notice temporary purging (small breakouts) as the skin detoxes and pushes out impurities, again this is part of the procedure and is differnet for each client. This is normal and will clear up quickly with correct hydration and gentle care.

Short-Term Healing (1-3 Days)

What You Can Do:

  • Keep your skincare simple and hydrating avoid strong actives (retinol, acids, exfoliants) for a few days.

  • Use a gentle moisturiser and drink plenty of water to support healing.

  • Always wear SPF 30+ as your skin will be more sensitive to the sun.

When to Schedule Follow-Up Sessions

For optimal results, a series of treatments is often recommended. Typically, sessions are spaced 2–4 weeks apart, depending on individual skin concerns and goals.
